XTT (sodium) 用于评估指示氧化还原电位的细胞活力。主动呼吸的细胞将水溶性 XTT 转化为水溶性的橙色甲瓒产物。

应用

XTT可与吩嗪硫酸甲酯(PMS)联合使用,用于筛选人肿瘤细胞系。 四唑染料也被用于真菌细胞损伤研究 、葡萄球菌的抗菌敏感性测试,以及念珠菌生物膜研究。XTT检测法的局限性也有报道。
可用于艾滋病和癌症检测。 

 XTT (sodium) is used to assess cell viability as a function of redox potential. Actively respiring cells convert the water-soluble XTT to a water-soluble, orange colored formazan product.

Application
XTT has been used in conjunction with phenazine methosulfate (PMS) to screen human cancer cell lines. The tetrazolium dye has also been used to study fungal cell damage, in testing antimicrobial susceptibility of staphylococci, and in Candida biofilm research. Limitations to the XTT assay have been reported.
Useful in AIDS and cancer testing.
