Flavonoid that is selectively cytotoxic toward cancer cells. Induces mitochondrial ROS, DNA damage, and metabolic suppression, preferentially in tumor cells. Scutellarein has been shown to have better absorption than scutellarin in Caco-2 monolayer cells.Scriptaid was used to enhance transcriptional activity in cloning procedures by somatic cell nuclear transfer.5,6
