生化机理	Produces nitric oxide (NO) which is a messenger molecule with diverse functions throughout the body. In macrophages, NO mediates tumoricidal and bactericidal actions. Also has nitrosylase activity and mediates cysteine S-nitrosylation of cytoplasmic target proteins such PTGS2/COX2 (By similarity). As component of the iNOS-S100A8/9 transnitrosylase complex involved in the selective inflammatory stimulus-dependent S-nitrosylation of GAPDH on 'Cys-247' implicated in regulation of the GAIT complex activity and probably multiple targets including ANXA5, EZR, MSN and VIM. Involved in inflammation, enhances the synthesis of pro-inflammatory mediators such as IL6 and IL8.

Flow Cytometry analysis of A549 cells stained with iNOS Mouse mAb (Ab169216) (Red) at 5.0 μg/mL for 1 hour at 4°C. Cells were fixed and permeabilized with 100% methanol. The Goat Anti-Mouse IgG H&L (PE) (Ab179006) was used as the secondary antibody. Unlabeled sample (Black) was used as a negative control. The mouse IgG1 was used as an isotype control (Blue).

iNOS Mouse mAb (Ab169216) - ICC/IF
IF analysis of iNOS (Green) in MCF-7 cells. The cells were fixed and permeabilized with 100% methanol for 5 minutes, and blocked with 2% BSA for 1 hour at room temperature. Cells were stained with iNOS Mouse mAb (Ab169216) at 5.0 μg/mL in blocking buffer for 2 hour at RT and then incubated with Goat Anti-Mouse IgG H&L (FITC) (Ab179003) at a dilution of 1/1000 for 1 hour at room temperature in the dark. Cells were counterstained with DAPI (Blue). Images were taken on the confocal laser scanning microscope.
