Product Description

Fluorescein 5(6)-isothiocyanate (FITC) is an isothiocyanate-derivitized Fluorescein fluorescent dye compound used for immunofluorescent identification and immunofluorescent histology applications. Fluorescein 5(6)-isothiocyanate reacts with nucleophilic amine and thiol amino acid residues to covalently link the compound to the protein of investigation. Fluorescein isothiocyanates have been described for use in the immunofluorescent identification of microorganisms and for the immunohistochemical localization of proteins.
