Solubility Softening point 100-132 ℃. The solubility varies with the degree to which hydroxyl groups in cellulose are replaced by ethoxyl groups. It is soluble in most organic solvents, can be mixed with resins, oil waxes, and plasticizers, has no effect on alkalis
