Product Description
Product Explanation Bryostatin 1 is a natural macrolide compound isolated from Bugula neritina, a moss worm, and an effective PKC regulator of central nervous system (CNS) permeability. Bryostatin 1 binds to the C1 domain of isolated Munc13-1 and the full-length Munc13-1 protein with Ki values of 8.07 nM and 0.45 nM, respectively. Bryostatin 1 has characteristics of anti-cancer, anti-inflammatory, neuroprotective, and anti HIV-1 infection.
This compound belongs to the class of organic compounds known as pentacarboxylic acids and derivatives. These are carboxylic acids containing exactly five carboxyl groups.
