2 μg/lane of Recombinant Human EMR1 Protein was resolved with SDS-PAGE under reducing (R) and non-reducing (N) conditions and visualized by Coomassie® Blue staining, showing a band at 19.1 kDa under reducing conditions and 18.2 & 36.5 & 55.8 kDa under non-reducing conditions.
The GAIN-B domain and GPS orchestrate the activity of EMR1/ADGRE1 via a dual mechanism: stabilizing a self-inhibited conformation (resting state) to suppress basal signaling and enabling ligand- or force-dependent conformational transitions (activated state) to initiate downstream pathways (PMID: 34282836; PMID: 7601460).
