MES钠盐已被用于：在含基因组DNA的琼脂糖块融化的过程中使DNA纤维达到目标密度和拉伸性平衡均质机的样品室，并防止样品在均质之前水解应用： MES是针对生物应用而开发的“良好”缓冲液之一。该产品经过痕量离子测试。采用氢氧化钠滴定游离酸至目标pH (pKa=±-1)，可以制备含MES游离酸的缓冲液。另外，将MES 游离酸和MES钠盐的等摩尔溶液混合起来，可以得到目标pH。采用储备溶液制备给定pH缓冲液所需的标准品混合表已经公布。 MES is one of the so-called 'Good' buffers developed for biological applications. This product is tested for trace ions. A buffer using MES free acid can be prepared by titrating the free acid with sodium hydroxide to the desired pH (pKa=±-1). Alternatively, volumes of equimolar solutions of MES free acid and MES sodium can be mixed to attain the desired pH. Standard mixing tables using stock solutions to prepare a buffer of a given pH have been published. Application:MES sodium salt has been used:
