Boc-aminooxy-ethyl-SS-propanol contains a Boc protected aminooxy group, a cleavable disulfide bond and a hydroxyl group. The protected aminooxy can be deprotected under mild acidic conditions and can then be reacted with an aldehyde or ketone group to form a stable oxime linkage. The hydroxyl group allows for further derivatization of the compound. The disulfide bond can be cleaved via reduction reactions. |
