Product Description
Chlorophyll alcohol is a diterpene alcohol, which is usually used as an aromatic component in various aromatic compounds. It has been found that it is a component of chlorophyll, vitamin K, vitamin E and other tocopherols in nature. Some lipophilic analogues have strong antituberculosis activity.
Phytol was used to study the EAG responses of male and female potato tuber moths to various plant volatiles. It is used to synthesize propiolic acid (2,6,10,14- tetramethylpentadecanoic acid)
This compound belongs to the class of organic compounds known as acyclic diterpenoids. These are diterpenoids (compounds made of four consecutive isoprene units) that do not contain a cycle.
