Diamond nanopowder may be produced by multicathode direct current plasma chemical vapor deposition and high pressure high temperature (HPHT). Potential uses of nano-diamond are in biosensor applications. Surface modification of nano-diamond may enhance its linking mechanism with specific biomolecules.
