Visible light-responsive YVO4/U6M1/PES composite membrane for rapid dye degradation
Photocatalytic membranes are the most effective solution for dye wastewater treatment and membrane pollution reduction, among them, how to improve the visible light responsiveness of photocatalytic membranes is the focus of research in this direction. In this paper, a novel Δ(Z + II)-type photocatalyst with visible light responsiveness was prepared using YVO 4 -modified dual-precursorgraphitic carbon nitride (U6M1). The Nonsolvent Induce Phase Separation (NIPS) was used to create the YVO 4 /U6M1/PES membrane, which gave the membrane photocatalytic capacity. The efficiency of removing rhodamine B(RhB) reached 99 % within 120 min, and the separation efficiency of Acid Red 18(AR-18) reached 95.1 % within 150 min. In addition, the membrane also has certain self-cleaning capabilities and can maintain a separation efficiency of more than 89 % after 5 cycles. As a green material, the composite membrane loaded with YVO 4 /U6M1 photocatalyst has great potential in the practical application of dye wastewater treatment.
