Single-atom iron fabricated electrochemical flexible sensor for detection of hypochlorite ions in water samples

Precisely measuring hypochlorous ions (ClO − ) concentration in water is crucial for ensuring safe disinfection, maintaining water quality, and protecting public health. A single-atom iron (Fe/GO) based flexible electrochemical sensor was developed for high sensitive monitoring of ClO − . The electrode kinetic processes were investigated in detail. Moveover, results showed that the sensor exhibited a wide linear range toward ClO − from 5.16 × 10 −5 to 0.0253 µM, with good repeatability and stability. The detection of ClO − concentration in various water samples were achieved by the proposed sensor.
