ABSTRACT

This study used a conventional solid-state method to synthesize high-performance, pure-phase LiMg 6 AlO 8 ceramics. XRD analysis and Rietveld refinement confirmed that the LiMg 6 AlO 8 ceramics possess rock salt structures with a space group of Fm- 3 m (225). According to the calculation results of the P-V-L theory, the Mg−O bond plays a dominant role in affecting ε r with a contribution of 42.1 %. The intrinsic dielectric properties of ceramics were analyzed using infrared far-infrared reflectance spectroscopy. The samples sintered at 1360°C exhibited excellent microwave dielectric properties: ε r = 9.69, Q×f = 170,430 GHz, τ f = −22.8 ppm/°C, demonstrating their potential for industrial applications.
