Hexagonal Cu2O-Pt alloyed nano-lilies mediated Fenton catalysis for recyclable degradation of organic dye
This paper presents the synthesis of hexagonal lily-like cuprous oxide‑platinum compound nanolilies (HCu 2 O-Pt NLs) and confirms their successful preparation using various characterization methods. These nano-enzymes possess remarkable photothermal ability, as irradiation under 808 nm near-infrared (NIR) laser causes a rapid temperature increase to about 50 °C. Furthermore, HCu 2 O-Pt NLs exhibited significantly enhanced Fenton catalytic activity for organic dye pollutant degradation compared to conventional photothermal catalysts, as demonstrated by Rhodamine B (RhB) degradation experiments. Additionally, HCu 2 O-Pt NLs demonstrated good photothermal stability, reusability, and non-toxicity to the environment, thereby highlighting their potential application in wastewater treatment .
