ABSTRACT

In this study, gas sensors based on Er-doped ZnFe 2 O 4 nanofibers (E-ZFO NFs) with varying ratios of Er doping were prepared by a facile electrospinning approach. The sensor based on 3% E-ZFO NFs demonstrated an enhanced response value of 30.3 for 100 ppm n -butanol at 175°C, with response and recovery times of 9 s and 94 s, respectively. This is approximately 3.1 times that of undoped ZFO NFs. Moreover, the sensor exhibited a minimum detection limit of 0.1 ppm, with excellent repeatability and selectivity. These results indicate that the sensors utilizing E-ZFO NFs are promising candidates for n -butanol gas sensors.
