ABSTRACT

This paper reports the preparation of BiVO 4 /BiOCl heterojunction photobiosensors with high sensitivity, stability and selectivity for detecting changes in dopamine concentration. BiVO 4 with nanostructures was prepared by electrostatic spinning, however, BiVO 4 semiconductor material is susceptible to complex inhibition of photogenerated carriers due to structural defects affecting the detection performance of the sensor, in order to solve this problem, BiVO 4 /BiOCl heterogeneous structures were prepared by hydrothermal synthesis. Not only the result of improving the interfacial charge separation efficiency, the photocurrent density was increased to 0.4 μA, but also the high sensitivity of the BiVO 4 /BiOCl heterojunction photovoltaic material for the detection of dopamine was improved. The linear response range for dopamine detection was 1-13 μM (R 2 = 0.99079) and the detection limit was 0.134 μM (S/N = 3). In addition, selective detection was achieved in the presence of a number of common interferences within human plasma, and the photocurrent response was tested for stability after sustained visible light irradiation.
