Construction a quasi-solid-state photoelectrochemical type photodetector based on WO3/PVA/ZnSO4 and its application in near ultraviolet light detection
Low carrier mobility of WO 3 material limited its application and development in the field of optoelectronic devices , especially used in photodetectors. Herein, a quasi-solid-state photoelectrochemical photodetector based on WO 3 film and solid-state electrolyte (PVA/ZnSO 4 ) was constructed. The WO 3 film was prepared by a hydrothermal method . The obtained WO 3 /PVA/ZnSO 4 quasi-solid-state photoelectrochemical photodetector exhibits superior near ultraviolet light detection performance and better stability compared with the traditional WO 3 /ZnSO 4 photoelectrochemical detector. Considered the volatility of water in the electrolyte, a small amount of NaCl was added into the electrolyte to increase the water retention property of the electrolyte. The obtained results demonstrate that NaCl has some water retention property and can improve the stability of the device effectively. These obtained results provide the data foundation for the research and development of photodetectors based on WO 3 materials.
