ABSTRACT

Concerning chemical hazards, natural materials-based fabrication is highly praised for their safer and environmental-friendly fabrication. In this study, Au and Pd were modified on Fe nanoparticles , which was reduced by tea polyphenols. The as-synthesized probe (Tp-Fe/AuPd), was applied for hydrogen peroxide (H 2 O 2 ) detection. Physical characterizations showed that Au and Pd were successfully modified on the Fe nanoparticles surfaces. The electrochemical results showed that, Tp-Fe/AuPd demonstrated good anti-interference capacity, long-term stability and high sensitivity of 4.17 μA mM −1 cm −2 . Further, the probe can detect H 2 O 2 within concentration range of 0.1–10 mM, and an estimated limit of detection (LOD) of 9.53 mM, without the addition of enzymes or other extraneous materials.
