ABSTRACT

Streptomycin (STR) residue excess in animal-derived foods can cause severe side-effects, such as ototoxicity and nephrotoxicity. Herein, a novel electrochemical aptasensor based on Ti 3 C 2 and metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) nanomaterials was developed for the rapid detection of STR in milk samples. The nanocomposites were synthesized using an impregnation method, and their morphology and structure were characterized via several characterization methods. The nanocomposites exhibited excellent electrochemical properties. Under the optimal conditions, the aptasensor offered a wide STR detection range from 0.01 to 200 nM with a lower limit of detection of 0.0033 nM. Furthermore, the aptasensor demonstrated remarkable reproducibility, stability, and selectivity and was successfully applied for the STR detection in milk samples with satisfactory recoveries ranging from 94.0% to 105.0%. The proposed method can be considered a new and effective method for the rapid detection of STR. Moreover, it provides a new sensing platform for the detection of other toxins.
