ABSTRACT

In this study, heteroatom-doped carbon materials (HDC) were prepared from polyphosphazene as raw materials. Then HDC was modified by nitro reduction method to obtain aminated porous carbon material (HDC-NH 2 ). The structure and morphology of HDC-NH 2 were characterized by Fourier Transform infrared spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The adsorption properties of HDC and HDC-NH 2 for uranyl ions in aqueous solution were studied under the conditions of pH, contact time, initial concentration and temperature. The results showed that the ideal adsorption pH for HDC and HDC-NH 2 was both 6, and the time to reach equilibrium was 80 and 20 min, while the maximum adsorption capacity can reach 227.68 and 1087.06 mg/g according to the Langmuir model, respectively. The comprehensive analysis of adsorption behavior and kinetics can prove that HDC-NH 2 has the potential to effectively remove U(VI) ions from solution.
