ABSTRACT

A nanofiber composite coating with self-healing and anticorrosive properties is reported in this work. We successfully encapsulated Ibuprofen and 2-Mercaptobenzothiazole into the Polyvinylidene fluoride nanofibers by electrospinning. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) tests indicate that low-frequency impedance of the scratched coating maintains 10 9  Ω cm 2 within 64 days. The coating exhibits an excellent long-term corrosive resistance and a rapid self-healing performance due to the synergistic effect of multicomponent self-healing factors, which have significant application prospects in the field of marine corrosion protection .
