Construction of Ag/Ag2S nanoparticles modified CoSx/ZnIn2S4 heterojunction for boosting photocatalytic organics degradation
In this work, the heterostructure of CoS x /Ag/Ag 2 S/ZnIn 2 S 4 (CAAZ) was synthesized by photodeposition reaction, cation exchange and low temperature solvothermal reaction. The degradation kinetic constants of TC and MO by CAAZ-3 within 60 min were 2.5 and 7.1 times that of pure ZnIn 2 S 4 , respectively, and CAAZ-3 still maintained good catalytic activity after 5 cycles. ZnIn 2 S 4 nanosheet is attached to the surface of CoS x hollow structure, which increases the reactive active site and improves the efficiency of light utilization. Notably, the introduction of Ag/Ag 2 S nanoparticles accelerates the conduction rate of photogenerated charge between the interfaces, which is consistent with the results of photochemical tests. It was found that the synergistic interaction of •O 2 - and h + played an important role in the degradation process of TC molecules. This study focuses on the development of photocatalysts for the efficient degradation of organic pollutants and theoretically demonstrates the importance of optimizing conductive interfaces for improving photocatalytic activity.
