ABSTRACT

2D Molybdenum disulfide (MoS 2 ) nanoplatform were prepared by the liquid ultrasonic stripping method using chitosan (CS) and eugenol (Eg), and a drug loading system based on MoS 2 photothermal effect was constructed (EMC) and applied in antifungal assays. The system not only had good physiological stability but also had an excellent photothermal effect and could effectively inhibit the growth of fungi. The characterization results showed that the average thickness of MoS 2 nanoplatform was 10 nm. In vivo and in vitro experiments showed that the synthesized EMC had excellent photothermal properties, displayed efficient antifungal activity against spoilage fungi such as Saccharomyces uvarum and Penicillium , thus prolonging the shelf life of the fruit. The analysis of chemical quality indexes showed that the good film-forming ability of EMC. This study reported a good photothermal effect of MoS 2 to inhibit fungal growth to protect postharvest fruits.
