Synthesis of carbon nanofibers supported NiMoO4 nanoparticles composites used for liquid thin film solar cells counter electrode

ABSTRACT

In this paper, PVP is used as the linking agent, and the NiMoO 4 nanoparticles-loaded carbon nanofibers composite NiMoO 4 /CNFs is prepared by the hydrothermal process, and it replaced the traditional Pt counter electrode. Obviously, NiMoO 4 nanoparticles are tightly loaded on carbon fibers, which helps to increase the overall catalytic active site. The results of specific characterization tests reveal that NiMoO 4 /CNFs composite has excellent electrocatalytic activity and stability. In the issue, DSSCs using NiMoO 4 /CNFs instead of Pt counter electrode reveal a photovoltaic conversion efficiency (PCE) of 7.67% versus Pt of 7.17% and CNFs of 5.65%, and it is expected to become an efficient alternative material for traditional Pt electrodes .
