Product Description

1,3-Dihydroxynaphthalene is used in the naphthoresorcinol test for uronic acids of Tollens and Rorive. After heating of uronic acids with naphthoresorcinol in hydrochloric acid, a blue color can be extracted with ethanol.
A reagent for the naphthoresorcinol test of Tollens and Rorive.
